Fall Season
For the 2026-2027 hockey season, we intend to field two competitive teams, one at both the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels.
Players will participate in the Illinois West High School Hockey League (Varsity and JV) and have the opportunity to become an Illinois High School Hockey League All Star, be an All-State player, be eligible for a Blackhawk scholarship, participate in the high school state playoffs and have fun competing against other high school teams.

Location: All Seasons Ice Arena
When
Fall/Winter Season will start in early September and runs through early March.
Where
Canlan Ice Arena in Romeoville is our home rink. All practices and home games will be played at Canlan.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Each team will have two (2) practices per week.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Teams will play 25-30 league games over the course of the fall/winter season and games will usually be scheduled on the weekends.
TOURNAMENTS
In addition to league games & scrimmages, both teams will play in one (1) preseason tournament, 1 or 2 additional local tournaments, League Playoffs, and the State High School Tournament.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where will I find information about making the team after tryouts?
Rosters will posted on this website approximately 1-2 days following tryouts. Players/Parents will receive an Offer to play for NVHC and will need to Accept the offer to officially become a member of the team.
Is there any required equipment for NVHC players?

2026-2027 Season
Season InfoRMATION
Registration for new and returning members for the 26-27 season is now open!
A $300 non-refundable evaluation fee is collected at the time of registration and will be applied to season fees once a roster position is accepted.
Jerseys and equipment will be available to purchase when accepting roster spot.
Before registering for tryouts, all players must be registered with USA Hockey and have a current USA Hockey Number for the 2026-2027 season.
